The Reserve Bank of India along with the government have planned to launch a new series of 1000 rupee notes replacing the ones that were withdrawn, says a report published in Indian Express attributing it to a government official whom they didn’t identify. Cash Withdrawal Weekly Limit Goes Up To Rs 50,000 The RBI has already started the production of the nee 1000 rupee notes but this still remains to be clear when these notes will be introduced finally. Will Shortly Issue New Rs 100 Banknotes: RBI Earlier, the new 1000 rupee notes were said to be introduced in January, but was delayed due to the need to supply 500 rupee notes to replenish the stock of old notes that were demonetised in November. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had on November 8 announced that 1000 and 500 rupee bank notes worth Rs 15.44 lakh crore were being withdrawn in an effort to fight corruption and flush out black money.
